Unless stated otherwise on your Dwelling Unit Rental Agreement, your
lease begins at 1:00PM on August 1st. You will need to call the office to make an appointment to check in. If
we know your apartment will be available early, we will tell you when you call to schedule your check-in. If
we find out your apartment will be ready earlier than your scheduled check-in time, we will try to let you
For August 1st leases, check-in appointments take place every 30 minutes starting at 12:30PM and ending at 3:30PM. If your lease does not start on August 1st, please call the office to find out when you can check in.
You will need to bring several things with you to the check-in appointment:
Copies of your utility agreements showing the required utilities are in your name as of the day your lease begins.
Proof of renter's insurance. Tenants are required to be covered by renter's insurance. Please see your lease for minimum requirements. If your policy is setup correctly, your insurer should send us a notice showing K & J Cooper Properties as an additional interest or certificate holder. Please have your verification available in the event that we did not receive the notice.
Vehicle information for parking permits.
A state/federally issued photo ID.
August rent. (Remember to pack your checkbook where you can get to it!)
Pet Owners: Vaccination records or a completed Pet Agreement, available here.
Only one check-in appointment will be scheduled per apartment. If you and your
roommate(s) will be arriving at times, you will need to decide between yourselves which of you will be
If you will not be arriving on the first day of your lease, please let us know. Also, remember to send your rent payment so it arrives on or before the date your lease begins.
Don't forget to file a change of address with the USPS at least several days before you move. It takes a while for change of address to filter down to the local postal carriers. You can change your address on the USPS website, or your local post office or carrier can help.

Due to road construction, traffic into and out of the 620, 630, and 640 S. 4th
buildings has been impacted. To help ease moving congestion, we will have signs in place directing
traffic in one direction. Please enter all buildings from Stonehaven Drive. You may exit by way of either
driveway between 620 and 630 or 630 and 640.
Moving trucks may park in empty spaces or along the 630/640 exit driveway.
Please make the following map available to anyone who will he assisting with your move. Please be courteous and patient with your new neighbors and their efforts to move in too.
You are responsible for providing some or all of the utilities for your apartment. You will need to sign up for the appropriate services with the utility company. The utilities which you are responsible for providing are listed on your lease. For your convenience, utility information is provided below for each building. If a utility is grayed out for your building, it means that the utility is included with your rent, so you don't need to set anything up. Cable and Internet are included with your lease so those links are provided for service requests and upgrades only. If you can't remember your apartment number, DO NOT guess when you setup service. You can find your apartment number in bold on the top of your lease, or you can ask when you call to setup your check-in appointment. If the first day of your lease is on a weekend, you will need to arrange to start utilities on the last weekday prior to your lease start date.
